Pilot Bearing install Question?
Basicly, how do you put it in?I'm putting an engine in my car that was from an auto.My car is a 5 speed and the old tap it gently in didn't work...it cracked as matter of fact nothing seemed to go my way today, the clutch fork is broke and I broke the oil dipstick on the engine.lol Anyway is there a tool that presses it in?Thanks in advance for any help.
I meant pilot bushing....

You don't have any luck do you? Well, I just put one in my engine with a socket and a hammer. I just went slow, and tried to keep the socket straight. You could get a bearing installer, and try that. Looks like a handle with a flat round disk on the end.

you might want to check for a burr in the hole the bearing goes in and smooth it out with something. i use a stiff wire cup brush in a die grinder. i too just use a socket and hammer and have never had a problem.

Get the Moroso roller pilot bearing.Clutch release feels smoother.Costs about $14.Also, actually seems to go in a little easier than a bushing.Moroso #41100, or Summit Racing SUM-G1700.
