dayco converters any good

I have a guy that is going to give me a 2800 stall dayco stall converter for some money he owes me. I plan on having 450fpt off the bottle. how long do you think it will last?

97 formula w/6speed,cags skipshift eleminator, hurst billet pro shifter, 30#injectors,adjustiable fuel presure regulator,Moroso cold air induction,ported mass air sensor,accell300+ ignition box, accell 9000 wires, bosch platnum4 plugs,flomaster crossflow muffler,Lingenfiter 52mm throttle body,TPIS L98 SuperProfile cam,Crane 1:6 full roller rockers,Edelbrock subframe connectors,Edelbrock strut tower brace.

Other car is a 89 GTA w/700r4w/stage 2 shift kit,2800 converter, corvette servo, B&M mega shifter, TPIS bigmouth intake, TPIS large tube runners, TPIS 52mm throttle body,Edelbrock ported centerbolt heads,LT1 24# injectors,holly afpr,GMPP LT4 hotcam,CompCams Pro magnum roller rockers,Edelbrock headers, flowmaster crossflow muffler,MSD 6A, accell coil,150 shot NO2. This car is currently under rebuild and restoration.

I've got a 2500 Dayco in my Z28 and it's done just fine since I put it in 2 years ago. But the Z runs mid-14s with a major traction problem, so I really couldn't say what it would do under 450 fp of torque.

Most Dacco converters are fine for normal duty. I have my doubts about HD use though. If you can drive the car now it would help so you could evaluate it. The oil must be cherry red also.

Honestly, i don't like my dacco converter.

My Dacco is working pretty good but I only bought it because I was on a seriously small budget at the time - not because I thought it was the best thing since rear view mirrors. I wouldn't mind swapping it out for a Vigilante..........

I wouldn't mind a vigulante but not everyone can afford one. At least not right now.

i had a 2500 dayco put in with my bullet proof tranny and it whined like a biyatch and reverse was wierd so i had them put a vette verter in and its been cool, you think i need that plastic converter cover?, they left it off
