Dana 44 axle removal
Can anybody tell me how to pull the axles out of my Dana 44?

Should be the same as the Dana44 I rebuilt in my truck..
There's no C-clips, so all you need to do is remove all brake hardware, and behind the axle flange you'll see 4 bolts holding on the backing plate and bearing flange assembley...
Just remove the 4 bolts, they'll have nuts on the back side, and pull the axle out..you may need to use a little force or attach a slide hammer to the axle to free the flange plate from the housing ends.

Ok, that gives me an idea. Do you know where I could find an exploded diagram?

Do a web search. There's lots of stuff out there on Dana44's since many of the old 4x4's use them.
