Balancing a driveshaft in central FL
Does anyone know where I can get a driveshaft balanced in central FL? I am in Melbourne and none of the locals know about anything nearby. There *has* to be a shop around here somewhere, at least over by Orlando. Any suggestions?

Re: Balancing a driveshaft in central FL
don't know about locations out there, but if it's a steel driveline, don't bother.....it won't fix the vibration.....
if it's aluminum....then I can't help either....across country from you....
just in case you have a steel factory driveline...here is a link showing some good info.
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/tran...iveshafts.html
The steel line 'worrbles' or 'bends' at speed, usually 65-70 or higher mph. Found this info in car craft showing how 3rd gens have a bad designed line.....
Hope that helps something......LOL

Nah it's an aluminum one. Otherwise a quick junkyard trip would solve this
