Car: 91 RS Convertible
Engine: 355
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 2.73 peg leg
Anyone know a good tranny builder near Austin, TX?

Just curious. It's not urgent, but eventually I'll need someone to build a 700R4 that will handle upwards of 550 Ft-lb of torque. Thanks.

In Waco, there is a guy named John Goebel that teaches at TSTC and builds auto trannies in his spare time. He is a tranny building GOD and can build you whatever you want. He is always swamped, so figure 1 1/2 mo to 3 mo to get it done. If you're interested, I'll get his contact info.

Oh, yeah! I didn't even think about that. A very good friend of mine went to TSTC and is now a Lexus Tech. in Austin. I remember he built an awesome 700R4 in his transmission class there.
