All I have is park.what causes this?

 

no fluid
broken drive shaft
miss adjusted shifter
tranny shot
filter and or pick up disconnected
little more info please

 

manual valve didn't get hooked up. DOH!, torque converter is stupid and doesn't care therefore won't discriminate forwards or backwards, low planet is the most likely cause as it chips and breaks off all the teeth. HOLLAR BACK!

 

This just happened to me tonight. Mine I'm perty sure just blew because it was slipping in 2nd and a lil in first then tonight when we took it out for its final run I heard a ticking when it was at idle in drive, and it slipped horribly 2times pulling out and about 5miles down the road I heark a plink and then she just started to rev up. Just wondering will the 82-84 2.8 700's take a special rebuild kit or can I just get the regular one from summit, and also these are 27 slpine right? Thanks in advance

 

mine ended up being the tv booster valve snap ring wasnt secured and the valve was in the pan
