Who has a 4th gen rear?

Just wondering how easy they are to fit and how much stronger they are over the thirdegn ones.

Also, can you use stock IROC wheels with them and does anyone have pics with the wheels sitting 2 inches further out?

Thanks for your help

82 T-TOP, can you email those pics to me also? I'm interested in doing the same thing on my '83 T/A, because the BW 10bolt ain't worth a crock!

G'day, and thanks!

4th gen rears are identical to late (89 up)3rd gen rears, except the axles and tubes are longer. With 3rd gen wheels on one of those in a 3rd gen chassis, your car will look like the import idiots with positive-offset wheels on a FWD car. That would look as silly as it does on a Honda. You can however use stock 4th gen wheels.

BW doesn't make a 10-bolt; they used to make a 9-bolt, that was used in some years of 3rd gens. GM makes the 10-bolt.

Borg warner did cast some center sections for GM and stamped their name on them.

G'day, PonchoTA.
Have sent photo's to your E-Mail.
If you require more pics or info, let me know.

Keep in mind if you use 4th gen wheels on the rear as suggested, you need to work on the front to suit the different offset.

Unless you what 4th gen wheels on the back and 3rd on the front. Maybe that would look strange.

As you will see by the pics. 3rd gen wheels on the 4th gen rear look OK. And no need to change the front set-up.
