what is ur converter's slippage?
Testing a theory out here...just want to see with my own eyes. I want to see what different torque converter companies have for slippage with different STR's. I realize that the higher STR, the more slippage I will have up top. Just want to see others

I have a 6000 stall converter with a calculated slippage of 4% based on 1/4 mile results.
You can have a 10" converter with 3500 stall and a 8" converter with 3500 stall and they'll have different slippage.
You can have a 10" converter with 3500 stall and a 8" converter with 3500 stall and they'll have different slippage.

From what I've seen, 10% is the standard slip at peak hp rpm in drive. My current one is at 10%, as have 2 others at different power levels except for when I was overpowering one of them it was slipping more like 22%.

That was a sure sign I was overpowering the converter. It was a 3500 stall made for my motor, but then I put the blower on to add 200-250hp. It was hard to shift it right since it would only drop 500-600rpm from each shift, and first gear was almost useless since I'd have to go into 2nd before the 60 foot. But like I said, all of the other situations I've had the slip is 10%.
