Talk to Dana, the owner of Pro Built Automatics (800.776.3288). I think he will convince you that he uses the best parts in his 700R4's. And his prices are awesome!! He also gives you a one-year warranty.

I can't be more pleased with the performance of my tranny he built for me. I'll e-mail you a document with my mods. Take a look at the transmission and what Dana did. I don't understand most of it, but suffice it to say the car runs great and has held up very well even with the power I'm pushing through it.

Anybody that will put a gaurantee on a tranny that they know is going to be raced and run really hard must be building something pretty strong.

Wow! That's a pretty impressive list of mods, and 12 sec ET's aren't bad either. I was looking for a tranny to put behind a zz4 and I think I've found it. thanks

I forgot to mention that Dana built my tranny to handle 650 horses. He knows I race a lot; he eventually talked me into buying a multi-disc Vigilante. He said to experiment locking up the converter at different rpm's. And with 12-flat times, I still got the one year warranty. All I can say is the guy knows what he's doing and he backs up his product.

BTW, I paid $1,200.

I have a pro-built and it takes the abuse. I only have experience with pro-built and car-pro. They both can take the abuse and use only quality parts. Don't buy one from anyone else. I've heard good things about art-carr though. www.car-pro.com

I've got one in my 68' Camaro from Phoenix Transmissions. They have several stages of 700-R4s, mine handles up to 595 ft lbs and 550 horses and it also comes with a 2 year, 24,000 mile warranty. www.phoenixtrans.com
