3rd vs 4th gen pedal/hydro T-56
Am I right in understanding that the pedal height engagement issue happens only if mixing 3rd gen pedals with 4th gen hydraulics or vice versa?
I was planning on using 4th gen pedals with 4th gen hydraulics and the rest of a stock T-5 setup with my LS1 T-56 swap.
Or should I be planning to use 3rd gen pedals with 3rd gen hydraulics to avoid this issue?
I tried posting this in the t-56 swap thread with no response.
Thanks!

The opinions on that question are split about 50/50, but a lot of guys say the pedal height and action feels more "correct" when using the 4th gen pedals and hydraulics. You'll have to cut off the gas pedal on the 4th gen pedals and use your original gas pedal, but it's not hard to do at all.

Thanks for responding Pat.
It would make the most sense that the problem may occur when switching between 3rd and 4th gen systems.
I know that the 4th gen hydraulics are a pretty decent setup. However, since the LS1 T-56 swap means that I am using all T-5 compatible parts...part of me wants to consider using 3rd gen swap instead.
I think the best answer would be the 4th gen pedals/LT1 T-56 hydraulics (pre-bled) from GM. I have read that this bolts in place of the T-5 stuff anyway as an upgrade. I can always measure the setup in place to see if I need to up creating a shorter linkage for the clutch pedal. I hope not....this project with the 406 and T-56 swap is work enough

Why not keep the 3rd gen pedals and use the Mcleod adjustable M/C and do the drill out restriction or better yet new line
