gears and splines
hey guys, got a question. i have a 91 RS stock and im about to out in some gears and posi. i was hell-bent on gettin 3:73s when a trans builder came to me and suggested 4.10. is that too steep?also what spline do i have a 28? what posi unit so you suggest? is eaton good?let me know please. thanks

with a OD trans 4:10 isn't bad, especially if it's not a daily driver. you have 28 spline axles, lot of people here have slp posi units

Transmission: T-5
4.10s would be fine on a 4th gen 6-speed daily driver with its .50 6th gear, but may rev a bit more than you want on a 3rd gen unless you're really into street racing. Also, the smaller pinion and thicker ring gear with that ratio will not let you slide in the paddle that replaces the spider gear pin if you get a Torsen. SLP has a 2-piece paddle kit for this.
