Transmission: T-56 6 speed
Hey I can shift into OD at WOT...

it turns out that if you cut your speed limiter. Then you can shift the car into OD at WOT. I did it last night while racing up againts a TT 300ZX. I didn't think it would shift. I was going to let off the gas and then shift it. Like how it normally is. But I just keeped flooring it and then shifted into OD and it shifted. Oh yea and about the race with the TT I keeped up but I still lost. He was slowly pulling from me.

You must have got a 'fluke' tranny or one out of a corvette, fib'd, cam that had the revised kit already installed....

What rpm did it shift @?

Can you guys please explain what you mean
when you say the car will not shift into
od at WOT, My 92 GTA with 700-r4, and B@M
shift kit shifts into od at WOT and stays
there untill I lose my nerve and let off
If I remember right the 1-2 shift happens
at about 4000 and the rest of the shifts
are all just around 3500 or so all this happens with my foot planted to the floor
in od,once it shifts into od the tach just
keeps on going up (no searching for 3rd)
Oh well I guess i'm just lucky. GTA...

Easy, it won't shift into overdrive at anything past about 2/3 throttle(WOT).

kinda stupid isn't it? I guess the speed limiter protects that, but what if one were to hit 140 and decide to floor it? It would kinda suck for your car. An upshift valve should protect that as well as give you another 33% throttle for higher speeds.

Wierd i've driven vetts that kicked out of od at 85 hmmmm. i know that b&m makes a kit 40$ that keeps it in od until 3/4 throttle.

I'm not trying to be rude but stay away from B&M's TV Aluminum sleeve thats sold in Jegs or Summit. A TRUE P.O.S.

The only kit that B&M sells that allows a TRUE 3-4 UPSHIFT and NO DOWNSHIFT from overdrive is #70249. It is only available from B&M directly. Or get the GM Kit #8673948
