Flexplate Gone bad?
Anyone no what signs would be associated with a flex plate going out.I have been experiencing a knock coming from the extreme rear of the engine and
seems to be coming from the flex plate area. I looked under the car and cant see any fractures in the plate. I am almost certain its not a rod or anything major internaly. Is this noise a sign of a cracked or out of balanceflex plate, and if out of balance what can cause this to just happen out of the blue?
Car is an 91 RS 5.0 TBI w/700r4. Also before this happened i replaced the transmission but never touched flexplate... Any help is appreciated.
thanks
