Ok, So I have an auto, and I am planning on swapping to a TKO 600. I have gone on 5speedtransmissions.com and looked at the conversion package for the third gen f-body, and I see it comes with a lot of stuff that I will need to do the swap. However I already have everything I need to swap in a stock T5 (yes, including the trans itself) What I am wanting to know is how much of the stuff I already I have I can reuse and not have to purchase through them. If you guys could answer this it will be most helpful. Thank you!

 

the different parts you need for the tko is a 31 spline ford c6 yoke, a shifter handle to accommodate the forward location of the shifter, or a modified shifter to set the handle back 2" (fortes sells it), the adapter plate to bolt the trans to your bellhousing, and the sensors/switches/pigtails for the trans (reverse lights, neutral safety, speedo). I would HIGHLY recommend a new flywheels, clutch and pressureplate, so sense using used if that is what you had in mind.

BE ABSOULTLY SURE the trans you buy is built for the f-body and comes with the adapter plate, ask if you are not sure.

Another good vendor for this trans is Fortes Parts Connection, he has everything you need including the plugs, wiring pigtails and speedo adapters.
I bought mine fomr fortes, call and ask/talk/order the trans, they were very knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with.
