will it hold
will my freshly rebuilt 700R hold up to a built 350? for that matter if i dont drive like a jackass will the stock rear end hold up. i know if i beat on it im liable to leave the rear end componants laying on the ground, but will it hold for a while?

Re: will it hold
if you dont beat on it it will be fine. it also depends on what a "built" 350 is

a built 350 would consist of a +.030 block with cast crank, rods and hypereutectic pistons, with a comp cams .487/.490 cam. i've had all the necessar head work done to a set of vortec heads with 1.6 roller rockers (effectivly making a .514/.522 lift cam), holley 650cfm carb, hooker 1 5/8" primary 3" collector, 3" flowmaster cat back

J/K, the rear end will hold as long as you dont put sticky tires on it at the drag strip.
As for your trans, all depends on what was done to it as well....
I've seen fairly well built 700R's go deep into the 9's, but they were kevlar clutches, TCI sprangs and inputs/outputs, about a $2K build up or so....
----------
I have personally had a 10 bolt hold up to a 10.50 pass every weekend, but I upgraded to a 28 spline Moser axle, Eaton posi, 3.90's and a TA girdle.

Re: will it hold
it doesnt have anything fancy done. i got a trans rebuild kit form this place that supplys places like aamco, or brownies IT and some other places that rebuild trannies. basically it was a stock rebuild kit, but it got a B&M stage 2 shift kit, and a 2800 stall. so everything inside the trans that moves is new, even some stuff that doesnt move is new.
