Crossmember for tko 600
Do any of you guys have some part numbers (summitracing.com) or someplace to get the stuff that i need to install a tko600 in my 86 z28 Camaro ?
I think i would need the crossmember and yoke ? or does it fit from the 700r4 tranny ?
I am also open to suggestion on hard holding clutches for a good price!
Also what type of trow out bearing does these cars have with manual ?
is it hydraulic or wire ? (stock)
And what type is it with the tko 600 ?
If some of you have done this swap before please tell me what i need!
THANKS!!
ps: the engine is a GM preformance zz383 with StealthRam Injection system!

Re: Crossmember for tko 600
where did you get the tko?
did you get the adapter plate for the bellhousing?
it is converted for a gm car right?
a stock style clutch will work, a stock style throwout bearing will also work. Its not a hydraulic bearing.
you need a ford c6 31 spline yoke
cross-member... Fortespartsconnection sells adapters for the stock cross-member, but they require a bit of modding. Spohn performance sells a cross-member mounted torque arm assembly for the tko setup which works, just isnt very ground clearance friendly. I have a 700r4/t5 cross-member mounted torque arm setup form UMI performance which im using on my tko. I just had to make 2, 1/2" think spacers the same size and shape as the cross-member mounts. about 3x7 with notches like cross-member has for the bolt holes.

Re: Crossmember for tko 600
i have the crossmember relocation kit for the stock crossmember if you want it i'll sell it to you, i just bought the spohn tko crossmember and had to modify it, it does not take in account the adapter that fortes supplies between the bellhousing and transmission.

86z, do you know how the crossmember adaptors install? I have a 86 Z we are putting a tko600 into and i would like to understand the whole thing before being under the car and scratching my head in wonder. Thanks for any help.

86TA, are you familiar with how the Fortes crossmember adaptors install? I have been trying to mock everything up BEFORE i get ready to install it. Any help is sure appreciated.
