Re: wires going to the 700r4?

you can get an aftermarket one from Spohn performance, or splurge for one with a torque arm.

there is one plug from the 700 that has 3 wires, its for the converter lockup, you dont need them.
there is a plug with 2 wires, purple and yellow, they are for the speedo

the backup light wires were on the selector switch that was connected to the auto's shifter. I dont remember offhand which set, but i think one wire was green. Does the t10 have a backup light switch in it?
The neutral safety wires should be under the dash by the pedals. its a large purple and yellow set, it should be hanging down by the clutch pedal. the switch should be on the pedals you have, all you have to do is connect the wires. Those wires also were on the selector switch on the old auto shifter, you have to tie them together or leave them apart to have the circuit work correctly, i dont off the top of my head remember is the circuit is supposed to be normally open or closed.

Re: wires going to the 700r4?

oh, and my t10 does have the provision for a backup light, theres a 2 prong socket on the back portion of the tranny? is the pigtail "male end" the same as the t5's? if so theres one in a local yard.on the converter lock up, i could just roll the wires up and tie them out of the way? will this thorw a check engine light? thanks

i dont know it the plugs are the same between the t5 and the t10. I do not believe that not connecting the converter wiring will affect the computer in anyway.
