new 700r4 tranny fluid question
hey i just finished my 350 swap and new tranny is in i fired him up but the trannys shifting is off. im sure the torque converter was near dry when i put him in.... i put in 6 qourts of fluid and the reading is showing to add 1 more qourt... is it possible my tranny needs 7 to fill? from bone dry? reason im asking is cuz the tranny dipstick isnt in the same place cuz we put the transmission up befor realizing we needed to put in the dip stick but the dip stick is completely in his hole so id assume its accurate still... help me plz lol i wanna drive my beast.

If the transmission and converter were dry I'd be expecting it to take more than that. If the dipstick says it needs more, then it needs more.

Re: new 700r4 tranny fluid question
That's probably more like it. Maybe even a little more, depending on the size of your converter.
