Th400 filter help

ok i took out my filter because i was told by a trans shop that it might be why it is slipping out of second because it is sucking air but here is my problem i took the pan off and the main bolt that is holding on the filter was tight but the filter could move up down and back and forth is there some kind of gasket/bushing that should be put on the bolt or is that how it is supposed to be and also the filter tube that goes into the trans had 2 orings is that how that is supposed to be to also if someone could send me a closeup of the trans with the filter on that would help ease my pain Thanks Eric

Re: Th400 filter help

The way that it is, is the right way. 2 O-rings on the tube, and the filter floats to some degree. There should be a shank on the bolt itself or a tube that site over the bolt, that keeps the filter movement to a minimum. Make sure there is a magnet in the pan toward the rear.
