Re: T5 FAQ - Everything we know about the T5
Does anyone know the sizes of the bolts that attach the Bellhousing to the Trans? I also need to know the size of the bolts that attach the heat shield for the slave cylinder to the bellhousing. I pieced together a trans swap and I don't have those all-important bolts.

Looked in the GM parts book. Joe is correct on the trans to bellhousing bolt size. It doesn't specify the thread size for the slave heat shield bolts, but they're definitely metric. Just take the shield to a bolt supply house or Home Depot, Lowe's, etc., and see what size fits. I can tell you it's a fine thread, and the head is 10 mm IIRC. If you get them about an inch long, that'll do the trick. I got some pics of it bolted together in an old thread. Don't know how helpful they'll be, but here's the link. https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/tran...ch#post3175320
