WC T5's w/ mechanical speedo
Hi guys, I am looking at swapping a T5 into my Monte and have a few questions to narrow down my search:
-What years did the Camaro's come with a WC T5 and mechanical speedo? Just '88, or other years as well?
-Is it possible to convert an electronic speedo to a mechanical speedo on a T5?
-In the real world, what hp/tq have people seen a stock WC T5 hold up to?

The electronic and cable VSS are the exact same size and shape and are direct swaps for each other.
Some people blow up T5's with stock power, some people have them hold up with 500 HP. Its all a matter of luck, and how you drive it. Mine blew up once I started running 12's.

Thanks, I had read conflicting info on whether 89 was electronic or not, but it looks like it isn't a big deal since they are easily swapped.
