Who has recalibrated their 700R4 or turbo 350 Governor?

Who has recalibrated their 700R4 or turbo 350 Governor?

Hi guys, I just reassembled a remanufatured 700R4 using corvette servo, corvette accumulators, a longer servo pin to get correct servo travel, 0.500" TV , Superior 700R4 shift kit, and Superior governor recalibration kit.

I got carried away and used almost the latest-shifting governor weights (I used either the D and E or E and F, I'll have to check)., and I also used the 3rd and 2nd lightest springs.

The part throttle shifts come very late (3500-4000 rpms 1-2 at part throttle!) and WOT shifts are unreachably high.

Who has used the Superior kit before? If you have, do you remember what letter weights and what springs you used, and what rpm shifts you obtained? I know trial and error is the only way to get me there, but this is in a 2nd gen with long tube headers, which means the only way for me to get the governor cover off is to drop the exhaust, drop the cross member, and tilt the trans down. If I could get some pointers it will maybe make me have to do the trial and error steps fewer times.

Ive used the B&M kit on my TA once. About 20 rides trial and error with a combination of weights and springs. I think I even used a stock one. Thats about it...trial n error. The car gearing, weight and all play a big role in each setup
