Attaching driveshaft to rearend problem PLEASE HELP

So yesterday I was nearly done with putting up my new rear and new suspension stuff and about the only thing i have left to do is attach the driveshaft to the rearend. I figure thats a pretty simple task, so I asked my dad if he could do that while I was doing something else... Well apparently what happened is while he was tightening the driveshaft to the rear, the 4 bolts were VERY hard to get in, He said that they screwed in half way and then all of a sudden got very hard to turn and he was afraid of breaking them. And to make it worse, the driveshaft universal joint ends came out and all the pins fell out... So what do I do now?
Thanks,
Dennis

well, I would tap the threads of the yoke and also the bolts with the right tap & die...3/8 24 I believe.... then stand all of the little soldiers back up in the caps making sure none are missing and then go for a second attempt

unfortunatly my dad lost 2 of the pins... i found one of them after he left of being too frustrated but one is still missing... are these able to be bought?? And ill have to disconnect the TQ arm to clean the holes huh... doesnt seem to have enough room, i should have thought of this earlier. Learning from mistakes is the best way to learn i guess...
