2 different master cylinder pushrod sizes?

working on a 5 speed swap, and i have an problem. im trying to connect the clutch master cylinder to the clutch pedal, the hole in the rod of the master cylinder was smaller than the stud on the pedals? i drilled it out a little bit so now it fits, but now the #^&%ing stud on the pedal does no stick out of the other side of the master cylinder pushrod, its too short. now what? are there two different master cylinders? WTF is going one here? why is it always me? help!!

Re: 2 different master cylinder pushrod sizes?

well it seems that i figured out my own problem, with a little digging on ebay i found that the hydraulic setup i have is actually from a 93-97 f-body and aparently they changed the stud size. not a problem i just drilled ou the plastic bushing and cut it down to fit and it worked out.
