Is 6 cyl. LB8 WC T5 different than LB9/ LO3 WC?

I have a 1989 Camaro, LB9 5 speed # -196. A guy I know has a T5 from
a 1989 LB8 6 cyl. camaro. I want a spare trans.. Is there a difference between these transmissionns?

A V6 T-5 is weaker, has a different input spline shaft count, and worse gearing than a V8 T-5.
