!!!Bell Housing Cut Away!!!
Good Evening All,
This might sound like a stupid question, but I honestly don't know the answer. I crawled under the 87 Formula that I got a couple of weeks ago, for the first time, and while checking the exhaust and stuff, I noticed that the flywheel was exposed. You can literally see the teeth. You can even see where the starter engages. At first I thought that it was broken off because it's a stolen/recovery, but it has been cut off and grinded down. Why would someone do this? My buddy said it was probably for racing, but I don't know. Has anyone else heard of this. It doesn't leak anything anywhere, running or not. I plan to fabricate something to cover it all back up to protect the flywheel, cause I don't want to catch a Walmart bag or something driving down the street. Luckily I have just driven it around the neighborhood. Any clue as to why. Thanks

What would changing that to more teeth do? I am not to familiar with stuff like that yet. Will it hurt anything?
