wat does it exactly do?

i have a transgo shift kit in my 700r4 but it says that this separator plate is optional and is sold seperate... but i dont know if the separator plate is already part of the shift kit since i didnt install it and it was done by the trans guy. wat does it do and would it help out in my cast. trans was rebuilt 20,000 ago for high performance and im upgrading the corvette servo with billet 35% larger one and 50% larger than stock 4th apply allong with boost valves etc... is the plate worth it?

 

no....the transgo shift kit took care of all the mods you would need for your sep. plate. the transgo plate has the holes previously drilled.

 

You only need the plate if yours is damaged. You still have to drill the holes and block even more holes in the separator plate. To keep from damaging the separator plate, use the 1/4" Torlon checkballs from Ford or Mopar. I use these in all of my transmission builds and rebuild kits.

 

thanks, i just dont know what shift kit my father bought he said it was the heavy duty or street strip...and he bought the street strip... i have full manual control or automatic thats all i can tell u
