get a longer driveshaft and move the cross-member forward. plus i think the torque arm might be an issue but i'm not sure. if you have one being built for you, have them put in the longer output shaft and tail housing(9 inch tail) and save yourself the trouble of the driveshaft and torque arm hassle. with te longer tail and 9 inch housing, you should be able to reuse your 700 tail housing.

thanks for the info ive been trying to find a th350 with the long tail shaft
but every junk yard that i called all said that they dont have one but a guy i know has a th350 with the short tail shaft thats been built to handle 600 horse and he has a stall conv for it they both have around 200 miles on them
he wants $250 for them how much do u think it would be to put the longer tail shaft on it and would it be worth the hassle or should i just wait till i find the th350 with the long tail shaft

to put the longer output shaft in it would require it to be taken apart. if your local junkyard has any '82 or '83 camaros/firebirds, those years had the longer torque arm, driveshaft, and the proper crossmember that you need to make the short one work.

If you want to use the short tail get a b&m mount kit its like $100.00. This solves are the torque arm and mount issues. In the instructions it tells you to use a driveshaft from an 82 camaro with a th200, which are kinda hard to find. I had one made and i have one th200 driveshaft. If you need a driveshaft let me know.
