4th gear down shifting problems!!

Some of you know that I had just installed a transgo shift kit and servo.

This is a recent problem I am having. While cruising, at like 40+ mph and while the car is in 4th gear, if you just stomp on the pedal, the car will not down shift like it is suppose to, instead it just stays in 4th and can be very slow on a hill.

First thought was TV cable. I adjusted it every which way I can. It is tight as can be. Like a guitar string.

I am guessing there may be a problem with my TV valve assembly in the valve body? I do not want to farther ruin my tranny, this needs to be fixed.... any suggestions?

Also, I bought a TV cable from advance, and it turns out the sucker was way too long, so I had to shorten it a bit and fasten a swedge. This should not be a problem right?

When you slow down does it downshift? chances are the problem is related to the governor pressure being to high and keeping the trans in high gear. the TV cable has to overcome the governor pressure to let it downshift. you installed something wrong i'd take it back apart and see whats going on.

What would make the pressure too much for the TV assembly? If I installed my kit wrong why would it downshift before but not now? After I installed the kit and worked a couple kinks out, it operated the way it is suppose to. Down shifter easily, then all of a sudden it doesn't.

So again, what could cause this pressure increase?
