Front bearing retainer

Just wondering if anyone has ever seen a front bearing retainer like this on a F body T-5. It's supposed to be out of a 92 Firebird. Sorry for the crappy pic.

Wow, that sure looks foreign to me! That looks nothing like the f-body bearing retainer. If I were to hazard a guess, I'd say it's a four-wheel drive trans or something. You ought to check the tailshaft housing to see if there's provisions for a torque arm mount. That's a dead giveaway as to whether it's f-body or not.

It does have the holes for the torque arm.

get the numbers off the drives side tag and look them up on
Medatronics Corporation's 5 Speed Home page! this will tell you exactly what that trans came from.

that front retainer looks like some i have seen on non-w/c t-5 v-6 models. it is possible the PO used it instead of the original one.

I currently have a V-6 T-5 right now. I want to put this one in. I'm fairly positive it'll work since it has a torque arm mount, I just haven't seen a retainer like that before. When I get home I'll look for those numbers and post what it came from.

1352-247. 96 world class V-6 T-5. That sucks. And to think I paid money for it.
