Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
Yes that is true.
It is very easy to find one, if it's sitting in front of you, and you recognize it. It may however be very difficult to find if it's not.
But don't worry: it's about the single most popular piece that people want to scab out of those cars, in fact I think I heard once of somebody parking his at the grocery store or something one day, and coming back out and finding it missing; so I'm guessing you most likely won't find one just sitting in front of you. You'll have to look around a bit. Maybe even get one made. Not that that's difficult or expensive or anything, there's places EVERYWHERE that can do it, in fact there's one not 2 miles from my house out here in the woods. But for some reason, people seem highly reluctant to consider it, or think there's something tough about it or something, so they pay OUTRAGEOUS prices and go to all kinds of extreme lengths to find those 82 ones. I'm forced to confess that I'm utterly clueless as to why they think that.
But, you don't have to be that way; just about any place that works on big trucks can fix you up in a matter of minutes.

3" longer than a stock 700R4 driveshaft for the short tailshaft TH350, which is a 6" tailshaft.
Now the longer tailshaft TH350 which is 9" in length needs no driveshaft modification at all and uses a stock driveshaft length, which it the trans in my camaro.
