RPM difference with and w/o TC locked?
At highway speeds (65-70), what should my RPM difference be for a locked torque converter and an unlocked torque converter? (stock TC)
When I tap the brake while cruising, the tach needle barely moves. The last time I took the GTA on a road trip, it got about 21 mpg, and the same trip before it got 25 mpg with no changes in tune/mods.

Thanks. I am pretty sure it will lock in city driving. I can lug the motor doing around 40 with the tach at 1,000-1,100. Is it a common problem for a locking converter not to stay locked at higher speeds?

Hm, I'm having the same problem. If I've been driving at 65 for about 15 minutes the TCC unlocks and then tries to lock, and unlock for a few minutes. Then it typically stays unlocked until I'm going up a hill. It's really weird.
