TH 350 Questions:

At the risk of beating a dead horse, I have some questions about my 350 in my 86 bird. Trans was rebuilt by a local shop, I know next to nothign about what's in it. My question is where to connect teh vacuum line for that sucker? the manifold or the carb??And while I'm at it, how much fluid is actually supposed to be in there? suppose I dropped the pan and refilled from dry(minus converter) how much would I normally put in there? thanks for all your help

The vac line should go to the manifold, or it could go to the carb so long as it is not a "timed" port. A timed port has no vac at or just above idle which would delay shifts at light throttle.

As for the fluid, that depends if its just the pan or all or the oil out of the valvebody and clutches. I seem to recall mine taking something like 8L to fill up after it sat dripping overnight with the valvebody off.
