what stall should i run???
this is what i am running ATM, i am getting ready to pull the trans out to get it rebuilt and i would like to get a torque converter that will compliment this setup. right now the car starts pulling pretty hard at about 2500-2700 rpm and i really haven't had a chance to get on it that much due to the poor shifting the tranny does when i get on it. (when i was running tpi the trans would rev up a bit when shifting )
the numbers provided are summit stock numbers
-rebuilt L98 350 lower end (out of 1988 GTA)
-Camshaft, Hydraulic Roller Tappet, Advertised Duration 296/300, Lift .539/.548 (edl-2204)
-full Edelbrock TES exhaust (headers, no cat, and cat back)
-Cylinder Heads, Edelbrock Performer, Aluminum, 60cc Chamber, 165cc Intake Runner, 2.02 int 1.60 ex (EDL-60859)
-mallory 3 port fuel pres reg
-HV oil pump w/ oil cooler
-accel coil and dist
-roller cam gear drive set
-MT drag radials (MTT-3793R)
-trans cooler
the converter i was looking at was a 2800-3000 stall (jegs # 555-60422)
-4130 chrome moly turbine hub with 4 oil slots.
-Torrington bearings
-Furnace brazed turbine and hub
-Heavy-duty roller clutch
-Screw-on pilot for stock depth included. See converter pilots for mid plate applications.
-Utilizes 3/8'' converter to flexplate bolts.
-retains the lockup feature
i have a small trans cooler right now. is there a particular one that would be better for use with a high stall converter?
thank you for your time i love this site
