T56 Ram power grip clutch engagement
I have a 95 CamaroT56 transmission installed in my 85 IROC with a ram power grip clutch. My problem is that it disengages and engages right at the top of the pedal travel as soon as you press the clutch pedal like an inch it is disengaged and when releasing the clutch it just grabs right at the top. Has anyone delt with this before? It has stock 4th gen hydraulics and 3rd gen pedals. I tried placing washers between the slave cylinder and the belhousing (I've got about 3/8 worth there now) but it made no difference. Is this just the way this cluch is or do I need adjustable hydaulics or something. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

The 3rd gen pedal has more leverage on the 4th gen MC than the MC is designed for.
If it really bothers you, you need to move the stud where the MC rod attaches to the pedal; put it closer to the pivot so it doesn't move so far when the pedal is operated.

Awesome. Thanks a lot. Thats just the information I was looking for. I have a set of 4th gen pedals and was trying to decide wether or not to instal them. Geuss I'll get started on that this weekend. Thanks again.
