the swap will be the same for a t56 or a t5 just the expence will be higher on the t56, but in the long run the t56 is a better tranny. i am in the middle of doing it myself and it isnt that hard with all the info on this site, do a search on t56 swap and you will find everything you need. or look here, well i was going to post a link to the how to but cant seem to find it. good luck with your swap

Your 85 has a two peice rear main. This means the rear crank main has two rupper seals that sandwich the crank. A one piece is like a bit axle seal that presses into the back of the block. However, there are a couple companies that make retro flywheels that will work with the 6 speed.

the companies that make the flywheels i noticed are expensive is there another alternative like using a used flywheel from another car?
do you need any specific clutch or pressure plate for the swap also if you have a 2 piece RMS?

I haven't heard of anybody modifying a 2 piece flywheel to work with the T56. From what I know, you can't do it, but that doesn't mean I am right. I have seen a kit that will convert the hydraulic setup to a mechanical linkage. I don't know why you would do this though.
The clutch setup on the T56 is a pull style clutch as opposed to the push type on the T5. I am pretty sure this has an effect on the design of the flywheel itself.
