I just rebuilt my 9.5" 14 bolt in my truck. It took just over 2 liters. If you buy 3 quarts/liters, you should have more than enough. Posi additive if you have a posi will also be needed.
The grade of oil depends on how much you want to spend. Normally 80w90 is fine. 75w90 synthetic is better but also costs a lot more. Any multigrade that goes up to 140 is a bit of an overkill in a car.

i've got mine on a stand building it back up. Should I turn mine so that is sits as it would in the car (pinion yoke parallel to ground, rather than pointing towards ground...), and fill up to the drain plug until it flows out? I just got a summit cover, and i'm not sure which is the fill plug...?
