How to change differential fluid?

Sorry for the stupid question, I just have never done it and would like to give it a shot while I change my tranny fluid as well. How hard is it to do?

Car: VIN=85 T/A, CAR=82/3 T/A gfx, go figure. She's a T/A anyway!
Engine: 5.0, Holley 600 cfm 4-barrel
Transmission: THM350 ??
There should be a filler plug on the side of the diff housing somewhere. OK make sure you've got a new gasket for the diff cover as well.
Unbolt the diff cover let it all come out. Fit new gasket, fill up the required amount via a tube into the filler plug hole et voila!

Mark.

RTV works just as well as a new gasket, if not better.

If you refill as much as possible the pumpkin will be entirly submerged. Also if you take the cover off you can inspect the gears. The spec book will tell you how many quarts to use. I always use mobli synthetic for gear lub. I also do not use the gasket just orage sylicone, the gasket always leaks on me maybe I am not the best, but it always works.

later and

gb

It will be running out of the fill hole long before then.

On the 10 bolt it's on the passenger side of the housing in front of the axle. On the 9 bolt and Dana 44 it's on the cover.
