saginaw 4spd gear oil

I have a 1982 z28 with a saginaw 4 spd trans. I would like to change the fluid. I think i have found the fill hole on the pass side (large square head), but i cant figure out how to drain it . My GM shop manual was no help. How does it get drained?

Use a suction gun to remove the oil by way of the fill hole. It's like a big syringe with a flexible nozzle. Some transmissions can be drained by removing the lowest tailshaft housing bolt.
