Will a 4L60E work on a 87 TPI
I have a 4L60E out of a /94 chev Truck. I was wondering if it could be made to work on my /87 Tune Port Injection motor.
I figure I can swap the torque arm or modify it to fit. My main question is about the computer/s. Can the 4L60E computer be made to work in an older TPI car and will the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) of a early T.P.I. car work on a 4L60E?

The main thing is that your existing computer wont control the 60E, you'd have to purchase an expensive controller box just to use the transmission. Unless you REALLY want to have a 60E i'd say try something else.
OTOH, if you bolted an LT1 into the place of your tpi engine, you could use the 60E, gain some power, and likely fuel mileage too.

thanks, I guess I'll just see if I can sell it or swap it for something.
