700 r4 or th 350, and 10 bolt
well im not sure wat trans mission i should use, i like the 700 since its the most streetable which thats what my car is going towards. but they are very weak and i heard bad for strip. th 350 are cheap and good racing trans. but no over drive, note this car will be street strip, i got a 355 built to 300 hp,(not in my car yet)but im gonna slap some vortec heads on it, and a bigger cam. but
i would like your help on choosing a trans. ALSO i have a gm 10 bolt from my 67 camaro, will this fit in my 89 firebird? thanks.

The 67 rear will not fit without heavy modifications.
I put a th350 in my car because they are strong, good transmissions. A nice built 700r4 would be nice but expensive also. I got a TCI street fighter th350 and I am very happy with it.
If you plan on getting some low gears...and driving on the highway a lot do not get a th350. If you don't plan on hitting the freeway much then a th350 will work fine. If it matters they are also lighter than a 700r4. Converters are also cheaper.
