What to do? Tranny Sounds bad (help)
Ok After getting my replacement fenders i went for a nice sunday drive all was good until I decided to Gun it after this red light after that when i let off the throttle the tranny sounds rough, loud, grinding, yet driveable the tranny did not make any bad sounds when i have the throttle on, after another red light i drove regualar and nocited in first gear the tranny didnt make those noises but in 2nd and third it did I just had this tranny rebuilt <2000miles ago by a local shop reccomened to me by my friend. Its a TH350 with B&M Shift kit and 2500 B&M STALL converter im running 4:11's In the back
Any help?
if this tranny is totally screwed i was thinking about swapping to a 5 or 6 speed... Any info on Cost for that?
Thanks anyone
EDIT: Id Take a 4 speed too

Support the car safely on jackstands. Take off the plastic inspection cover that alows accestt to the torque converter bolts. Make sure all 2 bolts are in place. Then have a hook at the flexplate. Make sure the bolts that hold it to the crank are in place. If all is good, look close to see if flexplate is cracked. If still good then start the car and stay well off to the side of the spinning flexplate and watch it and see if it wobbles alot and bangs around. If you rev the motor, stay well off to the side in case it breaks. They break violently once the crack. Safety first.
