4.11s and the T5

4.11s and the T5
Hey guys i got another thirdgen rearend im building up for my Z.. I was thinking about replacing the carrier with some 4.11s and a posi, I got a T5 (84) and its daily driven in the spring/summer. Would 3.73s be a better idea? I dont go on the highway all that often but i dont wanna be high revving on the highway. I have 3.23s in there now. Anyone do it?

Thats what I have in my set-up. I had no issues with leaveing the T-5 stock and adding 4.11's. After about 2 year's this way I decided to have the T-5 rebuilt by G-Force (didn't want to kill the T-5). I have to drive the highways to work (45 mins. one way), I normally cruise around 75 @ 3150 RPM's. But I don't drive mine as a daily driver, 2 times a week. I'd say it just depends on what you like and how you drive your car.
If I were redoing my set-up again, I'd go with 3.70's in the 9 inch, because I don't hardly race anymore and (for the same reason your looking at) would like to cruise at a more reasonable RPM. Thats funny to, when I bought the 9 inch, I ordered 3.70's in it, after a week of driveing it, I oppted for 4.11's. This was when I was racing alot, now I'm more of a cruiser. Just my opinion!
