can't fit the THM 350
I'm trying to swap a 350 in, but my torque converter won't slide all the way down the input shaft. The T/C hits the ring gear before the trans contacts the engine. And when I try to pull the t/c off of the trans, it gets stuck. All other trans that I've delt with, the t/c slides back and forth about an inch with no problem.
Rebuilt THM 350
New TCI t/c
Anybody?

Turns out that I'm a moron.
I just had some rust on the input shaft spline. Cleaned it up with a wire wheel, and pushed on the T/C, and it went down all the way. It still doesn't slide too easy though. I hooked it up but when I was bolting it to the flexplate, it didn't slide too easy.
Just need to hook everything else up right now.
Btw, its' for my '73 nova.
