Shims with "SHIFT KIT" on them - found in pan?
I had my 700R transmission rebuilt a year ago by a well known vender, and it has been working fine. Decided to change the fluid and filter today to clear out any "break in" clutch material. I found two metal shims stuck to the magnet in the pan. About and inch long by quarter inch wide, labeled SHIFT KIT us pat 4711140-SK. I didn't see them when I first installed the trans a year ago. Started to think they fell out of something, but now wondering if they may just be stuck in the pan to let future people know a shift kit was installed.
Anyone know for sure what these are?
Would give me piece of mind to know they are just labels.
I think a Trans-Go shift kit was installed when rebuilt.
Thanks

Yes they are perfectly flat.
No wear marks or dents.
I know the TV has a valve, sleeve and spring.
Where would these shims go?
What do they do?
Is it bad they are in the pan?
Thanks
BTW: ProBuilt, I did buy this from you for an 1988 corvette back in July of last year. I have no complaints, and it's lasted very well behind about 450hp. I did email you about this a few weeks ago, but didn't get anything back. Probably SPAM blockers.
thanks again
