Redline shockproof gear oil..What weight?
I just got my locker, and fixing to install it. I want to go with a better gear oil and heard the redline shockproof is great for our weak 10 bolt rears.
What weightshould I get?
The light says "Similar to a 75W140 gear oil, but with the lower internal friction of an SAE 30 motor oil"
And the heavy says 75W90. Would the light be too thin?
With reg gear oil I use 75W90 or 80W90
Oh yeah this car is my daily driver and weekend toy all in one.
Thanks

I've run the "Heavy Shockproof" in mine for two years now, no complaints here. I did 6 track days on various road courses in 2003, and I just did imy 5th track day earlier this month. Gear lube gets changed at the end of each season.
I put around 7K miles per year on the street also.
