I wasn't the last one that worked on your car before you, so I have no clue what they might have had turning what else. People do some strange mods sometimes.
Seriously, the parts simply are what they are, and I can't accept responsibility for how they got to wherever you found them; nor does the place you found them, change their identity. You asked what they are, I told you. It's entirely possible that the dist clamp got dropped at some point in the car's life, lodged somewhere, and fell out while you were working on it. That seems reasonable as far as it goes.

Thanks for the reply, I hope I didn't rub u the wrong way w/ my previous response, just being overly sarcastic
I was kinda worried it'd be some "important" part requiring me to take something big out(like the tranny) that took 3 hours to get back in so it was a relief when they were just clamps that'll take 15 seconds to put back...
Well I guess having 6 buddies all doing different things at once, not surprised everything got missorted all over the garage.
guess I'll use more smilies next time
thank you nonetheless,
brandon

Again RB is right..the left is the clamp that holds the speedo gear housing into the tail shaft of the tranny. The right one is most definately a dizzy hold down clamp.....were you changing the timing by spinning the driveshaft??? HAHAHAHAHA
