WC T-5 oil change
Yo guys, I just changed the oil in the WC T5 and I thought I'd let you know how this went.
I drained out the old stuff then used the little hand pump to suck out as much extra that was in the bottom of the tranny that wouldn't drain out on it's own. The old stuff looked kind of cloudy and nasty, and had a funny smell.
For the refill, I used one full quart of Royal Purple Synchromax, and the rest was Mobil 1 synthetic ATF. I gotta say the thing has never shifted smoother than it does now. It's quiet, no gear noise, and did I say it shifts SMOOTH? The difference was noticible.
This is just FYI, in case any of you want to give the synthetics a shot. I'm sold. But then again I've been using M1 in the engine for years. YMMV!!!

I got started using synthetics when I had a T-50 tranny that used ATF and from time to time didn't want to go into 2nd at the track. That was in 1983. Never missed a shift after the switch.
I haven't messed around with the "other" brands. I just stick to the best.
But, RP and M1 are still better than the host liars out there.
