700R4 -> T5 swap almost complete!!! Just a few questions....
After a long day of working on the swap I came upon a few minor questions.
First, I am not sure how the switch on the clutch pedal is supposed to work. I connected the 2 purple and yellow wires but the car would not start. I then jumpered the two wires together and the car started. I noticed there is another place for a connection on the switch but do not know if anything is supposed to be there. Can anyone give me more info on this?
Secondly, When I got the T5 in the car, there was a connection left over. It is a four prong connection that went in the auto trans. Do I need it for naything now that the T5 is in?
Third, I noticed there is a vibration in the car now particularly when the car is over 2k rpm. Is this normal? Any ideas of what it could be and how to fix it?
I had the flywheel resurfaced before the swap so I dont think it could be that. I was very careful to torque all the bolts on the flywheel and pressureplate so that should be ok....Any ideas?

unless u have already done it, on your manual transmission somewere should be a 2 prong connection, u will need to figure out what wires in that automatic connector are for the reverse lights and wire it to that 2 prong connection on the trans, as for the clutch switch, it may need adjustment, or may be faulty

Clutch switch wires should be contacted any time the clutch is pushed (leaving the button out)...might need a new switch, or just connect them and leave it.
The automatic 4-prong was for the torque converter lockup...in a T5 they should be used for the shift light...
there are 3 wires for the auto tranny
A - goes to brake switch
B - goes to C8 ECM (4th gear signal)
D - goes to A7 ECM (a/t TCC control -- m/t shift light)
Basically, you can leave them removed...it will only make the shift light not come on...unless you really want it. It will not hurt the ecmo or tranny if not hooked up.
The ECM C8 gets grounded when in 4th for auto or always in manual,
The ECM A7 sends 12v to auto when in 4th to lock tcc...send 12v to shift light in manual.
the brake switch just interrupts the signal for tcc lockup. not used in m/t.
As far as the reverse switch...not sure where on tranny it is, but you can find it and run the wires from the old auto shifter down to it.
Hope this helps.
