how long does an average clutch last on our cars?

Does anyone know the average clutch life expectancy on third gens. I know that my previous accord and civic were supposed to go 150-175k, but I don't know on f bodies, b/c my previous 2 were of the 700R4 variation.
I was curious b/c i didn't know whether this would be the original clutch or a replacement.
Thanks for any info, car descr. in sig

A clutch usually lasts me about 3 years. Its not necessary for me to replace it at that time but I like to change them about every three years.

Isn't that the truth. It all boils down to how you drive it. If you baby it it can last for a long time. If you do a lot of clutch drops and power shifting you can burn one up in no time.

My step brothers civic has 16k on it, and he says the clutch is pretty worn. I havn't driven it though, so I don't know.
Oh, forgot to mention he almost through his 2nd set of tires in 16k miles.

Car: 1989 Firebird Formula
Engine: Internal Combustion
Transmission: Completed
Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
I had about 160k miles on a Ram S/R behind my mid 14-second LG4. It probably still had 30k more left in it, but the engine was being put into the Formula, so I put a fresh one into it, and had the flywheel resurfaced. It had a lot of blue areas on it
